MacKenzie Private Training offers Home Gym Assessments to help you increase the effectiveness of your home gym experience, as well as Private Personal Training services from the comfort of your home.

Step One: Baseline Physical.
During this opening portion, we assess height, weight, waist circumference, BMI, and body fat percentage using a Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) device, as well as blood pressure and resting heart rate. Following this, we perform a comprehensive mobility assessment.

Home Gym Assessments are a three-step process:

Step Two: Goal Setting.
Next we use SMART goals and motivational interviewing questions to narrow down our direction, and give context to what is needed to optimize your home gym.

Step Three: Equipment and Layout.
To finish the assessment, we begin an in-depth inventory of all gym equipment and space you currently have. Then we make suggestions for any equipment that might be missing that is necessary for your goals, as well as offering suggestions for reworking the layout of the gym to better suit your needs.

About the Trainer

I'm Thomas, a Trainer and the Owner of MacKenzie Private Training. I graduated Holland College with a Diploma in Kinesiology. While at Holland College I interned with the Holland Hurricanes Football program in 2017-2018, focusing on strength & conditioning. I began working as a personal trainer in 2019, and I launched the business MacKenzie Private Training in February 2025. I'm a CSEP- Certified Personal Trainer, and have a High Preformance Specilization also with CSEP. My goal with the business; to help Islanders trainer smarter and harder, meeting everyone where they are at, and by designing exercise programs with the end goal in mind, then building backwards.
